01/03/2013 – Nintendo Hill

E. Marquez will lead "Nintendo Hill" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 pm at the Prospect Heights trailhead. We will take the
Powerline Trail uphill towards Glen Alps. We will then take the Middle
Fork Trail across the creek and climb uphill to the Ballfield. Return will
be via the same route.

11/22/2012 – Wild Turkeys

Rob DeVelice will lead "Wild Turkeys" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in JBER.

Meet at 11 am (note earlier time than usual) at the Snow Hawk parking
area on the right about 1.5 miles up Arctic Valley Road from the Glenn
Highway. The route will be on Fort Richardson so you will need an
iSportman permit to participate. Sign in on November 22 to access training
areas 428 and 427 . We will head up the Snowhawk Trail on a figure 9
route. Bring traction devices as there are ice sections on the trail.

10/04/2012 – McHugh Peak Extr aY aganza

E. Marquez will lead "McHugh Peak Extr aY aganza" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:10 pm (note earlier time than usual) at the Upper D’Armoun /
Canyon Road intersection. From there we will carpool to the Rabbit Creek
trailhead. The route will follow the main trail for about one mile then head
south, cross Rabbit Creek, and go up the slope and ridge to the summit of
McHugh Peak and back. Bring a light.

04/19/2012 – Sweat Lodge

E. Marquez will lead "Sweat Lodge" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.

Meet at 6:30 pm at the Falls Creek trailhead on the Seward Highway.
We will go a short distance on the Falls Creek trail, turn east on the
old TurnagainArm trail, and eventually bushwhack north and climb
towards the ridge. We will find a point to turn around and return by
the same route.

04/12/2012 – Caballo Blanco

Rob DeVelice will lead "Caballo Blanco" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.

Meet at 6:30 pm in the McHugh parking area on the Seward Highway. We will
head a ways up McHugh Creek valley on the new trail then proceed upslope off
trail via snow and scramble to the ridge (west of “McHugh Pass”) overlooking
Potter Creek valley. We will finish up by looping back down to the Turnagain
Arm Trail.
