Jesse Gobeli will lead "Ninja Ridge" with a duration of 4.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Rabbit Creek trailhead, end of the road. We will descend to Eva’s trail, then follow the creek before heading directly uphill to Baldy. We will follow the ridge to McHugh Peak and all the way to Rabbit Lake. We will return on the main trail.
Jesse Gobeli will lead "Epic 508" with a duration of 4 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the McHugh Creek trailhead. We will take the main trail up valley for about 1.5 miles. At elevation 1400 feet, we will leave the trail to ascend a previously unexplored ridge. Scrambling opportunities abound as we work our way through cliffs and boulders to a windswept alpine plateau at 3500 feet. Another 700 feet of ascent will round out the climbing for the evening, followed by a blistering 1800 foot descent to the main trail and a 3.5 mile jog back to the trailhead.
Jesse Gobeli will lead "Potter Overlook" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Weight Station just south of Potter Marsh. We will take the Turnagain Arm trail for about a mile before jumping off to ultimately ascend Potter Overlook. We will make our way back down by a direct route to the main trail for the return.
Jesse Gobeli will lead "Rim to Rim" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Prospect Heights trailhead. We will proceed along the western rim of South Fork Campbell Creek canyon, using a combination of old and new trails, and some bushwhacking to stay as close to the rim as we can. We will cross the creek at the bridge near Glen Alps, and return similarly on the eastern rim.
Jesse Gobeli will lead "Bird Creek 20K" with a duration of 4 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
The route is in and conditions are right for the Bird Creek 20K! Low snow and frozen temps make for a fast route this year. Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Bird Creek trailhead at the end of Konikson Rd. We will journey to the ford site and beyond to a suitable turnaround point on this out and back route.
Jesse Gobeli will lead "Stoners" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Upper Huffman trailhead. We will take a circuitous mix of obscure trails mixed with bushwhacking, possibly crossing the Middle Fork of Campbell Creek returning via a loop route.
Jesse Gobeli will lead "Not So Near Point" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Basher trailhead on the south side of Campbell airstrip road. We will take the trails to Near Point, then continue on along the ridge to the pass, ascend and traverse the shoulder of Wolverine until we reach the main trail again for our return.
Jesse Gobeli will lead "Triangulation" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Glen Alps trailhead. We will take the trail towards Middle Fork. Just before the creek we will head uphill skirting the southern edge of the krummholz. Once we are past the trees we will descend to the Middle Fork trail to complete a figure 9 route.
Jesse Gobeli will lead "No Man's Land" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Prospect Heights trailhead. We will take the main trail towards Wolverine before turning off at the large boulder and plunging into No Man’s Land. We will head to the pass, and then take the trail back over Near Point for the return.
Jesse Gobeli will lead "Hairy Potter" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Weigh Station just south of Potter Marsh. We will take the Turnagain Arm trail for about one mile before jumping off and ascending to the hill above Potter. We will make our way back along various game trails. Microspikes and possibly ice axe recommended.
Jesse Gobeli will lead "Bunny Boots Reverse" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Glen Alps trailhead. This route will be the reverse of the March 21st epic “North Side Bunny Boots Repeat” epic. We will jog out the powerline trail to about mile 2.5, then head directly up to the summit of Peak Three.
Jesse Gobeli will lead "O'Malley Reverse" with a duration of 4 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Glen Alps trailhead. We will ascend Nintendo Hill and traverse across the ballfield and down to Black Lake. Then, we will look for a route through the cliffs and ascend O’Malley from the north. Return will be via the standard route.
