07/28/2022 – Goose Lake Trot

Lee Helzer will lead "Goose Lake Trot" with a duration of 1.5 hours somewwhere in East Anchorage.

Meet in the Goose Lake Park parking lot for a 6:30 departure.  This kid friendly epic will attempt to circumnavigate Goose Lake with an option to swim or standup paddle board upon successful completion of the route.

02/17/2022 – A Little Snow Turtling

Lee Helzer will lead "A Little Snow Turtling" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in East Anchorage.

Meet for a 6:30 departure from the sewage plant parking area just beyond the Point Woronzof parking lot.  We will try to avoid the deep snow and slippery roads heading to higher trailheads.  We’ll tour the muddy coast and return via snowy trails.

01/14/2021 – Judgement Call

E. Marquez will lead "Judgement Call" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in East Anchorage.

Meet at 6:30 pm at the Hillside Park trailhead on Abbott Road. The route will head towards the North Bivouac trailhead, follow the Tank Trail for a ways, take a mix of trails towards the Botanical Garden,…and, ultimately, loop back to the start.

There is a possibility we will encounter unfrozen marsh.

12/24/2020 – Winter Wonderland

E. Marquez will lead "Winter Wonderland" with a duration of 2 hours somewwhere in East Anchorage.

Meet at 9:00 a.m. (NOTE EARLIER TIME) at the Hillside trailhead off Abbott Road for the Christmas Eve Morning Epic.  We will follow trails to North Bivouac, then along the powerline to Basher, then to the Lost Cabin and Prospect Heights, and then the gasline trail back to the start.

01/10/2019 – Lost Cabin

E. Marquez will lead "Lost Cabin" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in East Anchorage.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Hillside trailhead.   We will proceed using a number of trails and eventually end up in the vicinity of the lost O’Malley cabin.

02/15/2018 – Wait, Aren’t we Supposed to Take a Left?

Lee Helzer will lead "Wait, Aren't we Supposed to Take a Left?" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in East Anchorage.

Meet at the Hillside parking lot for a 6:30 departure.  We’ll follow the Gasline trail toward South Bivouac, the head up the Powerline trail with an interesting river crossing and return via the Gasline.
