Lee Helzer will lead "North East Penguin Ridge Exploration" with an estimated duration of 4 hours.

Meet for a 6:30 departure at the Bird Creek Valley trailhead (Konikson Rd).  We will head toward Nest Peak, but diverge south.  The first crux will be crossing Penguin Creek followed by a potentially difficult bushwhack.  We will do our best to avoid yellow and red on the hill shade while heading up the west fork of the north east ridge of Penguin.  Return route is undetermined but will be either an out-and-back or return via the normal Penguin route.
