Meet in the lower lot at the Mchugh trailhead for a 6:30 departure. We’ll post-hole our way up to point 2838 enjoying an epic sunset all along the way.
Lee Helzer will lead "Tap and Die Set" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Eagle River - South.
Meet at the South Fork Eagle River Trail Head for a 6:30 departure. We’ll follow the ridge back toward Symphony Lake and return via the South Fork Trail.
Jesse Gobeli will lead "Long and Winding Road" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Weigh Station south of Potter Marsh. We will run to Rainbow and back on the Turnagain Arm Trail. This is the same route that we ran last year just hours before the M7.1 earthquake dislodged massive boulders from the slopes above and onto the trail.
Lee Helzer will lead "Rays on Rainbow" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 in the Telephone Pole Rock parking area (on the left after Beluga Point) on the Seward Highway. We will head up to the Turnagain Arm Trail and then diverge onto a ridge heading towards the Black Mesa. From there we will continue up the North Face of Rainbow Peak (hopefully) enjoying a beautiful sunset along the way. Micro spikes may be needed.
From the summit we will take the standard route back to the Turnagain Arm Trail and return to the cars. There are out and back opportunities for those not desiring partaking in the full enchilada.
E. Marquez will lead "Blacktail Rocks" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Eagle River - North.
Meet at Mile Hi trailhead at 6:30 p.m. We will ascend Mt. Magnificent, descend to the valley, ascend Blacktail Rocks and descend back to the trailhead.
E. Marquez will lead "Wedge Wromp" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 pm in the Glen Alps parking area. We will proceed on the Powerline Trail to the Hidden Lake Trail. We will soon diverge from the Hidden Lake Trail and head up along the ridge leading to the summit of the Wedge. From there decisions will be made regarding the most desirable descent route.
Lee Helzer will lead "Little Indianhouse" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at Falls Creek Trail head for a 6:30 departure. We will attempt to reach the highpoint labeled on the map as 3920 or Little Indianhouse Mountain.
Jesse Gobeli will lead "Indian / Bird ridge Workshop of Horrors" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Indian trailhead at the end of Boretide road. We will be working on a new route direct to Bird Ridge and back.
E. Marquez will lead "Symphony of Destruction" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Eagle River - South.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the South Fork Eagle River trailhead. We will take the ridge to the south Symphony lakes, then return by the main trail.
Jesse Gobeli will lead "Suicide Dip" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Indian trailhead at the end of Boretide Road. We will follow a classic route over the shoulder of North Suicide to a mountain tarn where we will swim under the evening sun.
Jesse Gobeli will lead "Bird Flew" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Bird Creek Mega Parking Lot in the old rock quarry. We will take the all time classic Bird Flew route – Bird Creek to Ridge and return.
E. Marquez will lead "Black Mesa" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the McHugh Creek trailhead. We will take the ridge up to Black Mesa, then descend to the Turnagain Arm trail and return.
