08/27/2020 – See Me, Feel Me

Jesse Gobeli will lead "See Me, Feel Me" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Prospect Heights trailhead.  We will take the middle fork trail to just below Rusty Point where we will quickly diverge for the high point.  We will proceed along the ridge to Wolverine with a return over Near Point.

08/13/2020 – 907 Goat

Lee Helzer will lead "907 Goat" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 14815 Echo Canyon Rd. off of Canyon Rd. for a 6:30 departure.  Park by the basketball hoop past the driveway.  Please keep dogs on leash at the house due to cats on the loose.

We will take a quick jaunt down Eva’s trail, then sneak back up to Canyon Rd. on the secret trail.  From the trailhead we will head up Peak 3 and follow the ridge back to Ptarmigan pass, then drop down to the Powerline trail.  We will follow the Powerline trail  for a bit before we B-line to Canyon Rd. via the pass between Flattop and Peak 2.  Canyon Rd. will take us back to the start.  If we so choose we can record our names on the finisher clipboard.

08/06/2020 – Sheep Thrill Plus

E. Marquez will lead "Sheep Thrill Plus" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.

Meet at the Falls Creek trail head for a 6:30 departure.  We will follow Sheep Thrills ridge up then continue the ridge back toward South Suicide.  At the most opportune time we will sneak down to the main trail and return.

06/18/2020 – Full Circle

Jesse Gobeli will lead "Full Circle" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Peters Creek.

Meet at the Peter’s Creek trailhead at the end of Malcolm Drive.  We will ascend Bear Mountain, partially descend the north ridge, traverse an alpine valley and ascend Eklutna Peak, then plunge back to the main trail completing a circle route.

06/04/2020 – Falls Peak Circumnavigation

E. Marquez will lead "Falls Peak Circumnavigation" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.

UPDATE

Meet in the Falls Creek parking lot for a 6:30 departure to circumnavigate Falls Peak.  We will head east, counter clockwise to the pass between Falls Peak and Indianhouse Mountain where we’ll descend to the headwaters of Falls Creek and return via the standard trail.

04/16/2020 – Hole-in-the-Wall

Jesse Gobeli will lead "Hole-in-the-Wall" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Rainbow trailhead.  We will take the east ridge of Rainbow, and then head towards Hole in the Wall.  We will return by a circuitous route.

04/09/2020 – Potter Overlook

E. Marquez will lead "Potter Overlook" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Weigh Station on the Seward Highway just south of Potter Marsh.  We will diverge from the Turnagain Arm trail after a mile or so and head straight up to Potter Overlook.   We will return via a different route.

04/02/2020 – Caballo Blanco

Jesse Gobeli will lead "Caballo Blanco" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the gravel parking area just past McHugh Creek.   We will follow game trails as we ascend and eventually top out on Caballo Blanco.   We will return by the scree field to the main trail.

12/05/2019 – Long and Winding Road

Jesse Gobeli will lead "Long and Winding Road" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Weigh Station south of Potter Marsh.  We will run to Rainbow and back on the Turnagain Arm Trail.   This is the same route that we ran last year just hours before the M7.1 earthquake dislodged massive boulders from the slopes above and onto the trail.

09/26/2019 – Rays on Rainbow

Lee Helzer will lead "Rays on Rainbow" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.

Meet at 6:30 in the Telephone Pole Rock parking area (on the left after Beluga Point) on the Seward Highway. We will head up to the Turnagain Arm Trail and then diverge onto a ridge heading towards the Black Mesa. From there we will continue up the North Face of Rainbow Peak (hopefully) enjoying a beautiful sunset along the way.  Micro spikes may be needed.

From the summit we will take the standard route back to the Turnagain Arm Trail and return to the cars. There are out and back opportunities for those not desiring partaking in the full enchilada.
