E. Marquez will lead "Tortilla Chip" with a duration of 4 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 pm at the Windy Corner trailhead on the Seward Highway. The route will follow the Turnagain Arm Trail for a short distance and will then proceed steeply up to Sheep Thrills Ridge via bushwhacking and scrambling. From there we will proceed to a high point (the “Tortilla Chip”). Ultimately, we will drop down to Falls Creek and back to Windy Corner.
E. Marquez will lead "Black Mesa" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the McHugh Creek trailhead. We will take the ridge up to Black Mesa, then descend to the Turnagain Arm trail and return.
E. Marquez will lead "Near Point Odyssey " with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet in the Hillside Park lot on Abbott Road at 6:30 pm. We will proceed up the gas line to Prospect Heights and thence to Near Point and return.
E. Marquez will lead "No Man's Wolverine" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at the Prospect Heights trailhead at 6:30 p.m. We will take the main trail to Wolverine, then head down into the No Man’s Land before ascending the left flank of Wolverine to return.
E. Marquez will lead "Lost Cabin" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in East Anchorage.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Hillside trailhead. We will proceed using a number of trails and eventually end up in the vicinity of the lost O’Malley cabin.
E. Marquez will lead "Judgement Call" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in East Anchorage.
Meet at 6:30 pm at the Hillside Park trailhead on Abbott Road. The route will head towards the North Bivouac trailhead, follow the Tank Trail for a ways, take a mix of trails towards the Botanical Garden,…and, ultimately, loop back to the start.
E. Marquez will lead "Rainbow Ridge" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Rainbow trailhead. We will take an alternate route to the ridge and return.
E. Marquez will lead "Flaketop" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at the Rabbit Lake trailhead at 6:30 p.m. – take Upper DeArmoun to Canyon Road and then Canyon Road to the end. We will ascend to Flaketop via the ridge and return.
E. Marquez will lead "Ninja Ridge" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Rabbit Lakes trailhead (end of the road). We will take the main trail to Rabbit Lake, then return on the ridge to the south to McHugh Peak, then descend to the creek and return to the trailhead.
E. Marquez will lead "Call of the Wild" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Falls Creek Trailhead. We will start on the main trail but when we approach the main valley we will cross the creek and ascend to the top of the ridge. We will return the same way.
E. Marquez will lead "North Sui" with a duration of 5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 at the Rabbit Lakes trailhead.
E. Marquez will lead "Pointedly Rusty" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at Prospect Heights parking area at 6:30 pm. We will take the main trail towards Wolverine Peak. From the cairn on the ridge we will head to Rusty Point. From the summit, we will take one on a variety of options back, depending on desires of the participants.
