Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the weigh station just south of Potter Marsh. We will take the main trail for approximately 1.5 miles before bushwhacking up to the Potter high point. We will return to the main trail by a different route.
E. Marquez will lead "Flaketop" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:15 p.m. at the corner of Upper De Armoun road and Canyon road. We will carpool to the trailhead for a 6:30 start. We will proceed to Flattop and continue along the ridge to Flaketop, and return via the main trail.
E. Marquez will lead "Near Point" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Hillside trailhead on Abbott Road. We will proceed to Near Point and return using a variety of trails.
E. Marquez will lead "Rough on the Edges" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Prospect Heights trailhead. We will take the main trail to just below Wolverine. Then we will turn off the main trail and bushwhack directly to the Middle Fork trail and return.
E. Marquez will lead "Trotting Around Rainbow" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at the Rainbow trailhead for a 6:30 departure. We’ll take the main trail west then depart the comfort of the main trail for a bushwhack up a small wooded ravine. We should meet the main Rainbow trail for the descent.
E. Marquez will lead "Peak 3" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:15 at the intersection of Upper DeArmoun and Canyon roads. We will carpool to the Rabbit Lake trailhead for a 6:30 start. We will climb to the top of Flattop, then follow the ridge to Peak 3 and return. Microspikes and ice axe may be necessary.
E. Marquez will lead "A Different Rusty" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Prospect Heights trailhead. We will take the main trail, but at the creek before the Wolverine trail we will break off and bushwhack straight to Rusty Point. After we ascend Rusty, we will return by the main trail.
E. Marquez will lead "Thanksgiving Epic " with a duration of 2 hours somewwhere in East Anchorage.
Meet at 9 a.m. (note earlier time than usual) at the Hillside trailhead off Abbott road. We will complete a Thanksgiving loop on the hillside trails.
E. Marquez will lead "Potter Overlook" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at the Seward Highway weigh station just south of Potter Marsh at 6:30. We will run to mile 2 of the Turnagain Arm trail where we will bushwhack to the top of the ridge. At the turnaround point we will head straight down to the trail and return.
E. Marquez will lead "Falls Creek Exploration" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 pm at Falls Creek Trailhead on the Seward Highway. We will proceed up the main trail to the ridgeline at the head of the valley. From there we head east (towards South Suicide) to a highpoint and return.
E. Marquez will lead "Hasta la Vista" with a duration of 4 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Baldy at the top of Skyline Drive in Eagle River. We will proceed to the saddle between Roundtop and Blacktail Rocks. Then we will proceed to Vista Peak and return.
E. Marquez will lead "Avalanche" with a duration of 4 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Glen Alps trailhead. We will ascend Avalanche Peak via Powerline Pass and return.
