Lee Helzer will lead "Rendezvous Ridge" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in JBER.
Meet at 6:30 pm in a pull out just before the parking lot at the end of Arctic Valley Road. We will head up to Rendezvous Peak then take the ridge back as far as folks wish at which we will bush-thwack down to the Ship Creek trail for a muddy return.
E. Marquez will lead "Different Rainbow" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 pm at the Rainbow trailhead on the Seward Highway. We will head up the standard route, traverse across the flank of Rainbow, and return by a route to be determined. Some bushwhacking and route finding will be involved.
Mike Monterusso will lead "Partial Spectrum" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 pm outside the gate in the McHugh parking area on the Seward Highway. Me will take the main trail and head partway up toward Rainbow Peak, then either return by the same route, or bushwhack back down to the trail in a figure nine.
E. Marquez will lead "Mountain Air" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 pm at the Falls Creek trailhead on the Seward Highway. V/e
will take the old Turnagain Arm trail for approximately 1/2 mile before
heading uphill towards the ridge. We will ietutn by the same route. There
will be some bushwhacking and route finding involved.
Mike Monterusso will lead "1950s Haircut" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 pm at Upper Huffman Trailhead. We will run up the powerline to Glen
Alps and ascend Flattop Mountain. An ice axe may be helpful.
Jesse Gobeli will lead "Ptarmi gan Ptrails" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet af 6:30 pm at the Glen Alps trailhead on the Anchorage Hillside
We will jog up the Powerline Trail with the intention of exploring the
Ptarmigan Pass area. We will return by the same route.
Jesse Gobeli will lead "Rough on the Edges redux" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 pm at the Basher Trailhead off Campbell Airstrip Road. This will be a
repeat of the route from earlier in the year. We will proceed to the standard trail up
Wolverine, climb to the plateau, and bushwhack down to the Middle Fork trail and
return.
Mike Monterusso will lead "Power to the People" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 pm at Prospect Heights trailhead. We will do a rectaîgular route
on Middle Fork Loop Trail towards Glen Alps, the return on (or parallel to)
the Powerline Trail.
Jesse Gobeli will lead "Left Flank" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 pm at the Basher Trailhead off Campbell Airstrip road. We will
proceed to the standard trail up Wolverine, take a side trail skirting No Man’s
Land, before gaining elevation along Wolverine’s little climbed left flank,
developing a Figure 9 route for a return to the start.
E. Marquez will lead "Rough on the Edges" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 pm at the Prospect Heights trail-head. W will take the main
trail towards Wolverine Peak before turning off towards Rusty Point
where we will bushwhack down the hill back to the Middle Fork Trail.
Rob DeVelice will lead "Nothing to Do" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 pm at the Dome Trailhead (intersection of Basher and Kalmia
drives up the Campbell Airstrip Road). This will be a loop route. We will
head towards the Dome, head up the Campbell Creek drainage, cross the
creek, head up to Near Point, and back down to the trailhead. Traction
devices suggested.
Mike Monterusso will lead "Campbell Soup" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in East Anchorage.
Meet at 6:30 pm at Alaska Botanical Garden (460I Campbell Airstrip Rd).
Unlimited parking in lot across street at Benny Benson School. Look for red
truck. Run will start by going through or around Alaska Botanical Garden making our way to North Gasline Trail. Proceed across Campbell Airstrip Rd via N/S Bivouac Trailhead. Navigate Campbell Creek trails and return to start via road and/or Far North Bicentennial Trail system. Potential for icy patches in swampy areas so extra traction is suggested. Some road and trail sections may require a dog leash.
