Jesse Gobeli will lead "A Little Rusty" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Glen Alps trailhead. We will take the middle fork trail to the bridge, then ascend directly to Rusty Point. We will follow the ridge for a time and then drop back down to the middle fork. We will then meet up with the trail back to the trailhead.

09/01/2022 – Ship Lake Pass

E. Marquez will lead "Ship Lake Pass" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Glen Alps trailhead.  We will take the trail towards Hidden Lake and to Ship Lake Pass.  We will pass behind the Wedge on sheep trails, drop back down towards Powerline Pass trail and return.

08/11/2022 – Rusty Point

E. Marquez will lead "Rusty Point" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet in the Prospect Heights trail head for a 6:30 departure.  We will head up the Wolverine trail to the large cairn then diverge and head south to Rusty Point for an out and back.

07/21/2022 – Rabbit Lake Loop

E. Marquez will lead "Rabbit Lake Loop" with a duration of 4.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Rabbit Lake trailhead at the end of Canyon Road. We will run the main trail to Rabbit Lake, circumnavigate the lake and ascend the Pass behind the lake before dropping down to Powerline Pass. We will run the Powerline trail back to Peak 2, and ascend up and over the Pass to the trailhead.

05/12/2022 – Peak 2-3

Jesse Gobeli will lead "Peak 2-3" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Rabbit Creek trailhead.  We will proceed up Flattop then to Peak 2, and on to Peak 3 if time and conditions permit.   Ice axe and microspikes recommended.

03/31/2022 – Return to No Man’s Land

E. Marquez will lead "Return to No Man's Land " with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Basher trailhead, off of Campbell Airstrip Road.   We will jog the road to the end and from there take the northside trail that heads up Near Point.  We will descend the ridge on the opposite side, and descend through No Man’s Land, to Wolverine trail, and return to the trailhead.

02/24/2022 – No Man’s Land!

Jesse Gobeli will lead "No Man's Land!" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Prospect Heights trailhead.  We will proceed via the main trail up Wolverine, but we will diverge at the giant boulder and foray into the No Man’s Land between Wolverine and Near Point.   We will return over Near Point.  Snowshoes are advised.

02/10/2022 – Black Lake Loop

E. Marquez will lead "Black Lake Loop" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Glen Alps trailhead. We will head up to and traverse across the ballfield toward the high point overlooking black lake.   We will return by the same route.

02/03/2022 – Change of Direction

Jesse Gobeli will lead "Change of Direction" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Glen Alps trailhead.  We will take the powerline trail out towards the bridge and hidden lake trail, and head up to the giant snow drift.  From there we will ascend higher towards Hidden Lake and return by a route chosen by participants.  Snowshoes are recommended.

01/13/2022 – Hemlock Burn trail loop

Anne Ver Hoef will lead "Hemlock Burn trail loop" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30pm Prospect Trailhead.  We will likely head uphill on the new Hemlock Burn trail to Glen Alps and then back down the Powerline or other small trails.  Microspikes may be desired – depending on if we get new snow.  There are some slick spots, but not many.
