Rob DeVelice will lead "A Little Rusty" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 pm in the Prospect Heights parking area on the
Anchorage Hillside. V/e will proceed on our “standard route” towards
Rusty Point until where we usually leave the ascent trail. V/e will
continue further towards the Middle Fork and then navigate obscure
game trails, shrub thickets (some defoliated by insects), and rock
scrambles. From the summit of Rusty we will zip down and across to
the Wolverine trail and loop back to Prospect Heights.

Meet at 6:00 pm (note earlier time than usual) at the Falls Creek trailhead on the
Seward Highway. We will ascend both South and North Suicide peaks and return

08/23/2012 – Invasion of the Body Scratchers

Rob DeVelice will lead "Invasion of the Body Scratchers" with a duration of 2 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.

Meet at 6:30 pm in the pull off on the right (water) side of the Seward Highway
just after milepost 110. We will proceed past the “Northwest Passage” rock
climbing ateaupslope via bushwack and scramble in an entertaining loop.
Gardening gloves, safety glasses, and penetration resistant clothing suggested.

08/16/2012 – Ptarmigan

Jesse Gobeli will lead "Ptarmigan" with a duration of 4 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 pm at the Glen Alps trailhead on the Anchorage Hillside. We will
follow the Powerline Trail to Ptarmigan Pass, ascend to the peak, and return via
the same route.

08/09/2012 – Follow the Rabbit

E. Marquez will lead "Follow the Rabbit" with a duration of 4 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:10 pm (note earlier time than usual) at the corner of Upper de
Armoun and Canyon roads. We will follow the trail to Rabbit Lake. We
will traverse north of the lake in search of a route to Powerline Pass. We
will return on the Powerline trail.

08/02/2012 – Unnamed II

Jesse Gobeli will lead "Unnamed II" with a duration of 2 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.

Meet at 6:30 pm at the Rainbow trailhead on the Seward Highway. We will
head straight up the ridge to a suitable turnaround point. There will be some
bushwhacking and route finding. This is a repeat of the Spring route.

07/19/2012 – Easy Going

Meet at 6:30 pm in the Raspberry parking lot in Kincaid Park, Anchorage.
We will explore a mix of rolling single track and skate ski trails in the woods.

07/12/2012 – Ninja Ridge

E. Marquez will lead "Ninja Ridge" with a duration of 4.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:10 pm (note earlier time than usual) at the corner of Upper de
Armoun and Canyon roads. We will carpool to the Rabbit Lakes trailhead.
We will follow the trail for 1/2 mile before dropping down to cross Rabbit
Creek and go up Baldy, continuing on to McHugh Peak. We will traverse the
ridge to Rabbit Lake, and return on the main trail.

07/05/2012 – Ptarmigan Pass

Meet at Meet at 6:15 p.m. at the corner of upper de Armoun and canyon roads. We
will carpool to the Rabbit lakes trailhead.
We will climb to Flattop and then follow the ridge to ptarmigan pass. We will return by the Rabbit lakes trail.

06/28/2012 – Quadruple Bypass

E. Marquez will lead "Quadruple Bypass" with a duration of 5.5 hours somewwhere in Eagle River - North.

Meet at 6:30 pm at Mile Hi trailhead in Eagle River. In order, the route
will ascend Mount Magnificent, descend to Meadow Creek, then ascend
Vista Peak, Roundtop, and Blacktail Ptarmigan Rocks. Some bushwacking will be involved.

06/21/2012 – Solstice Ramble

Jesse Gobeli will lead "Solstice Ramble" with a duration of 5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 pm in the Prospect Heights parking area on the Anchorage
Hillside. We will take the Middle Fork Trail until we diverge to the summit
Rusty Point. In celebration of the solstice, we will complete the ridge traverse
over Wolverine Peak to the summit of Mount Elliot. We will return by a
circuitous route. There will be turn around options for those not desiring to
do the full route.

06/07/2012 – Barefoot in the Park

Meet at 6:30 pm in the small parking area at the junction of Kincaid Road
and Jodphur Street. We will tour a mix of single track trails, dunes, and wide
ski trails barefoot (if you like).
