E. Marquez will lead "Rusty Point" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet in the Prospect Heights trail head for a 6:30 departure. We will head up the Wolverine trail to the large cairn then diverge and head south to Rusty Point for an out and back.
E. Marquez will lead "Rabbit Lake Loop" with a duration of 4.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Rabbit Lake trailhead at the end of Canyon Road. We will run the main trail to Rabbit Lake, circumnavigate the lake and ascend the Pass behind the lake before dropping down to Powerline Pass. We will run the Powerline trail back to Peak 2, and ascend up and over the Pass to the trailhead.
E. Marquez will lead "Sweat Lodge" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Falls Creek trailhead. We will follow the old Johnson trail for a mile or two, before heading uphill towards the Indianhouse Ridge. We will cross over a pass, into the Falls Creek valley to complete a circle route.
E. Marquez will lead "Hiland" with a duration of 4 hours somewwhere in Eagle River - South.
Meet at the South Fork Eagle River trailhead at 6:30 p.m. We will head up Hunter Pass, then run the ridgeline to Rendezvous, Gordon Lyon and Hiland Mountain. We will return by the same route.
E. Marquez will lead "Bird Flew (Redux)" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Bird Ridge trailhead (the rock quarry mega-lot). We will attempt the ACTUAL “bird flew” route. We will follow Bird Creek to the falls, then we will select a suitable ascent route to the top of Bird Ridge. We will return by the standard route.
E. Marquez will lead "Rainbow Ridge" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 p.m.at the Rainbow trailhead. (Note that there are construction road delays on the Seward Highway, plan for a few extra minutes to reach the trailhead). We will proceed up to the Rainbow Ridge via the path adjacent to the neighborhood. We will return by the standard route.
E. Marquez will lead "Return to No Man's Land " with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Basher trailhead, off of Campbell Airstrip Road. We will jog the road to the end and from there take the northside trail that heads up Near Point. We will descend the ridge on the opposite side, and descend through No Man’s Land, to Wolverine trail, and return to the trailhead.
E. Marquez will lead "Lost Hammer" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the McHugh Creek trailhead. We will take the Turnagain Arm trail to Mile 2, before heading uphill to the ridge and Potter overlook. We will vary the route on the return. Snowshoes are advisable.
E. Marquez will lead "Black Lake Loop" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Glen Alps trailhead. We will head up to and traverse across the ballfield toward the high point overlooking black lake. We will return by the same route.
E. Marquez will lead "Campbell Creek Loop" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at Prospect trailhead for a 6:30 departure. We’ll make a loop by taking Wolverine Peak trail to Middle Fork then return via the Powerline.
E. Marquez will lead "Knee Deep" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the trailhead at the end of Basher Road at Stuckagain Heights. We will proceed up the trail to Near Point and back.
E. Marquez will lead "Peak 2" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Rabbit Lake trailhead at the end of Canyon road. We will take the trail up the backside of Flattop, then traverse to Peak 2 and beyond before descending directly to the main trail for the return.
