Meet at 6:30 pm in the Hillside Park parking lot on Abbott Road. We will tour a mix of snowy trails including the Moose Ridge Trail and others in the vicinity of Campbell Airstrip.
E. Marquez will lead "2000 Ft Ceiling" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Basher Trailhead on the south of Campbell Airstrip Rd. We will run to the end of the road, ascend to 2000 ft, traverse the face of Near Point, and return via the Near Point trail.
E. Marquez will lead "Monte Caballo Blanco " with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 pm at McHugh Creek parking area. The route will take a mix of trails, bushwhacks, and scrambling to Caballo Blanco summit and return.
E. Marquez will lead "McHugh Ridge Loop" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at Rabbit Creek trailhead for a 6:30 departure. We will take the main trail for a mile or so then head south to McHugh Ridge. From the ridge we will descend down to the McHugh Lake Tail and loop around back to our cars.
E. Marquez will lead "Falls Creek Loop" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at Falls Creek trailhead at 6:30 p.m. We will take the Old Johnson trail for a mile, then head uphill to the Indianhouse ridge. We will take the pass down to the headwaters of Falls Creek, and head out the main trail for a loop route.
E. Marquez will lead "Williwaw Loop" with a duration of 5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Prospect Heights trailhead. We will take the main trail over Near Point, head down to the creek, follow trails around Long Lake and over the Pass and out the Middle Fork trail.
E. Marquez will lead "No Rest for the Wicked" with a duration of 4.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Glen Alps trailhead. We will take the powerline trail to the pass, then proceed to the ridge and to Avalanche Peak. We will return by the same route.
E. Marquez will lead "Quadruple Bypass" with a duration of 5.5 hours somewwhere in Eagle River - North.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Mile Hi trailhead in Eagle River. We will ascend Mt. Magnificent, descend to Meadow Creek, and then ascend Vista, Roundtop and Blacktail Rocks. This route is an Epic classic.
E. Marquez will lead "Hiland Mountain Ridgeline" with a duration of 4.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the South Fork Eagle River trailhead. We will head up Hunter Pass, then follow the ridge to Rendezvous Peak, Gordon Lyon, and Hiland Mountain. We will return by the same route.
E. Marquez will lead "Potter Overlook " with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Weigh Station on the Seward Highway just south of Potter Marsh. We will diverge from the Turnagain Arm trail after a mile or so and head straight up to Potter Overlook. We will return via a different route. Route may involve substantial post-holing.
E. Marquez will lead "Sweat Lodge " with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Falls Creek trailhead. We will follow the old Johnson trail for a ways, then head uphill towards Indianhouse until we intersect with the standard trail. We will descend back to the Johnson trail for a figure 9 route.
E. Marquez will lead "Smooth on the Edges" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Prospect Heights trailhead. We will take the main trail to just before Woverine. Then we will plunge into the forest and ascend towards Rusty Point. From there, we will head directly cross country to the main cairn on the Wolverine trail, and return via the main trail. Snowshoes are highly recommended.
