12/12/2019 – 19th Anniversary Epic

Lee Helzer will lead "19th Anniversary Epic" with a duration of 1 hour somewwhere in West Anchorage.

Meet at 6:30 pm in the Earthquake Park parking lot. We’ll explore the permanent remnants of the 1964 earthquake and finish with a bit of beach and trail running.  It might be muddy thanks to the recent rains.

After the Epic we’ll head to The Rustic Goat (2800 W Northern Lights Blvd) to celebrate the 19th Epic Anniversary (est. 12/7/2000).

12/05/2019 – Long and Winding Road

Jesse Gobeli will lead "Long and Winding Road" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Weigh Station south of Potter Marsh.  We will run to Rainbow and back on the Turnagain Arm Trail.   This is the same route that we ran last year just hours before the M7.1 earthquake dislodged massive boulders from the slopes above and onto the trail.

11/07/2019 – You Are Not Forgotten

Lee Helzer will lead "You Are Not Forgotten" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in Peters Creek.

Meet at 6:15pm in the parking area at the start of Eklutna Lake road. Due to limited space we will carpool to a 4 car gravel pullout at about mile 4.5 on Eklutna Lake Road by electric pole 74. We will then hike up the road to electric pole 85 where we will depart the road and head up to Gold Star Peak then head over to Mount POW/MIA, pay homage, and return. Micro-spikes recommended. Please allow extra time for traffic delays.

10/03/2019 – Rusty

Jesse Gobeli will lead "Rusty" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Glen Alps trailhead.  We will take the middle fork trail, cross the creek, ascend Rusty, scramble along the ridge before descending to the creek and returning.

09/26/2019 – Rays on Rainbow

Lee Helzer will lead "Rays on Rainbow" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.

Meet at 6:30 in the Telephone Pole Rock parking area (on the left after Beluga Point) on the Seward Highway. We will head up to the Turnagain Arm Trail and then diverge onto a ridge heading towards the Black Mesa. From there we will continue up the North Face of Rainbow Peak (hopefully) enjoying a beautiful sunset along the way.  Micro spikes may be needed.

From the summit we will take the standard route back to the Turnagain Arm Trail and return to the cars. There are out and back opportunities for those not desiring partaking in the full enchilada.
