Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Glen Alps trailhead. We will head to the Middle Fork trail, then bushwhack to the ridge leading to Rusty Point. We will follow the ridge to Wolverine, then drop down to the middle fork valley again and return.
E. Marquez will lead "Hasta la Vista" with a duration of 4 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Baldy at the top of Skyline Drive in Eagle River. We will proceed to the saddle between Roundtop and Blacktail Rocks. Then we will proceed to Vista Peak and return.
E. Marquez will lead "Avalanche" with a duration of 4 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Glen Alps trailhead. We will ascend Avalanche Peak via Powerline Pass and return.
E. Marquez will lead "Rabbit Creek Reconnaissance " with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 pm at the Rabbit Creek Trailhead on Canyon Road. We will drop down and cross Rabbit Creek then head up valley to a point at which we will recross the Creek and return to the parking area via the Rabbit Creek Trail.
E. Marquez will lead "The Wedge Loop" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Glen Alps trailhead. We will take the main trail to the pass between The Ramp and The Wedge, we will follow sheep trails along the back of The Wedge until we can descend to the powerline trail and return.
Jesse Gobeli will lead "Rabbit High Route" with a duration of 4.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:15 p.m. at the intersection of Upper DeArmoun and Canyon roads. We will carpool to the Rabbit Lakes Trailhead for a 6:30 start. We will take the main trail to the lake and then ascend the north ridge, scramble along the ridge until we can descend to Powerline Pass, and then follow the trail over Ptarmigan Pass back to the start.
E. Marquez will lead "McHugh Roundabout" with a duration of 4.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:15 at the corner of Upper DeArmoun and Canyon Roads. We will carpool to the trailhead. We will proceed on the main trail for about a mile, then bushwhack down the hill and cross the creek. We will head to McHugh Peak, then follow the ridgeline to Rabbit Lake and return on the main trail.
E. Marquez will lead "South and North Suicides" with a duration of 4.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:15 p.m. at the intersection of Upper DeArmoun and Canyon Roads. We will carpool to the Rabbit Lakes trailhead. We will proceed to the lakes, then ascend the west ridge of South Suicide, proceed across Windy Gap to North Suicide, and then return via Hauser’s Gulley.
E. Marquez will lead "Near Point from Hillside Park" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 pm in the Hillside Park parking lot on Abbott Road. We will take the Gasline Trail to Prospect Heights, then continue to Near Point and return.
E. Marquez will lead "Black Lake Approach" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 pm in the Glen Alps parking lot on the Anchorage Hillside. We will proceed to Nintendo Hill, cross The Ballpark towards O’Malley Peak, and return from above Black Lake.
E. Marquez will lead "Rough on the Edges" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Prospect Heights trailhead. We will take the trail to Wolverine but then diverge towards Rusty Point. We will then plunge down to the Middle Fork Trail for the return.
Mike Monterusso will lead "Farewell to Legs" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 at Prospect Heights Trailhead. We will move up the powerline and along the South Fork Rim trail while considering the elusive shortcut passage to the Middle Fork Trail. If we are denied, we will head west and return to the parking lot via Hemlock Knob or White Spruce trails.
This will be the final Epic for Mike Monterusso as he will soon depart the wondrous lands of Alaska for the flatlands of Minnesota to pursue new adventures both professional and epic.
