Lee Helzer will lead "Rays on Rainbow" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 in the Telephone Pole Rock parking area (on the left after Beluga Point) on the Seward Highway. We will head up to the Turnagain Arm Trail and then diverge onto a ridge heading towards the Black Mesa. From there we will continue up the North Face of Rainbow Peak (hopefully) enjoying a beautiful sunset along the way. Micro spikes may be needed.
From the summit we will take the standard route back to the Turnagain Arm Trail and return to the cars. There are out and back opportunities for those not desiring partaking in the full enchilada.

Meet at 6:30 pm in the pull out just before the parking lot at the end of Arctic Valley Road. We will head up to Rendezvous Peak then take the ridge back to exceptional berry picking. After our mouths are blue and bellies full we’ll descend towards Ship Creek and catch a trail maintained by the local moose and bear population.

Meet at Falls Creek Trail head for a 6:30 departure. We will attempt to reach the highpoint labeled on the map as 3920 or Little Indianhouse Mountain.

Meet at Glen Alps for a 6:30 departure. We’ll sneak up Little O’Malley then traverse the Ballfield to Black Lake where the brave will take a chilling dip. We’ll return via the Middle Fork Trail.

Join the Sorrell family for a 6:30 departure from 8182 Stewart Mountain Dr. (the first house on the right on Highland road for their inaugural bushwhack up to the summit of Highland mountain. Park near the detached upper garage and try not to block the main (middle) driveway. A post epic beverage will likely be enjoyed.

Meet at the lower parking lot of the McHugh Day Use Area for a 6:30 departure. We’ll head up the standard route to McHugh Peak and descend via the same route or an alternate route.

Meet at the Hillside parking area just off Abbott for a 6.28pm departure. Note the earlier start time. We will circumnavigate the Far North Bicentennial Park. Finishers will be treated to a delicious slice of pie.

Meet for a 6:30 departure at the small Klutina Dr trailhead of the Far North Bicentennial Park. We’ll work up trails in the vicinity of the Powerline Trail and return via trails in the vicinity of the Gasline trail. It should be a good workout.

Meet at the Prospect Heights trail head for a 6:30 departure to Rusty Point. We’ll ascend the standard route and descend the south face returning by way of the Middle Fork Trail. No shoe shoes if you want a leg workout. Expect a fair amount of post-holing.
