Meet at the main Eklutna Lake parking area near the boat launch for a 6:30 departure. We will cross the dam and head up to the high point 1145 and follow the ridge west for as long as time allows. We will return via bushwhacking along the Eklutna River.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Bird Creek trailhead at the end of Konikson Rd. We will visit the attractions of the Bird Creek Valley, including the Giant Trees, waterfalls, the 1965 Fastback, and more. Light bushwhacking, creek crossings and swamps are anticipated.

Meet for a 6:30 departure at the Indian Valley trailhead off Boretide road. We will head up the Powerline trail toward some dense forest to explore. Snowshoes would be advisable. We will return via the Indian Valley trail.

Meet at the Eagle River Greenbelt day use area just south of Eagle River before the Briggs Bridge off Eagle River Loop Road for a 6:30 departure. We will adventure upstream and return via the Lower Eagle River Trail.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Prospect Heights trailhead. We will take the main trail to just before Woverine. Then we will plunge into the forest and ascend towards Rusty Point. From there, we will head directly cross country to the main cairn on the Wolverine trail, and return via the main trail. Snowshoes are highly recommended.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Glen Alps trailhead. We will run to Hidden Lake, explore the frozen lake, and return.

Meet at 6:30 pm at the Hillside Park trailhead on Abbott Road. The route will head towards the North Bivouac trailhead, follow the Tank Trail for a ways, take a mix of trails towards the Botanical Garden,…and, ultimately, loop back to the start.
There is a possibility we will encounter unfrozen marsh.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Point Woronzof (wastewater treatment plant parking lot). We will proceed along a mix of singletrack trails towards Kincaid Park chalet. Then, we will descend to the beach and run the tidal flats dodging ice formations.

Meet at Prospect Heights Trailhead for a 6:30 departure. We will ascend Near Point via No Man’s Land trail. We will return via the standard route while hopefully gazing down on the downtown fireworks show that starts at 8:30pm.

Meet for a 6:30 departure at the Rabbit Lake Trailhead. The route will ascend the backside of Flattop and will continue on the ridge to Peak 3. In the Peak 3 vicinity we will descend to the Rabbit Lake Trail and return to the trail head.

Meet at 6:15 p.m. (note earlier time) at the Windy Corner trailhead. From there, we will carpool back to the Potter Marsh Weigh Station for a 6:30 p.m. start. We will run the 9 miles of the Turnagain Arm trail.
