Rob DeVelice will lead "Storming the Heights" with a duration of 4.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 pm at the McHugh Parking Area on the New Seward Highway between Anchorage and Bird.
We will ascend to McHugh Saddle, do a circuit of Potter Heights, and return to McHugh. There will be lots of steep terrain (including snow and ice).
Rob DeVelice will lead "High Adventure on Wolverine Ridge" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.
Meet at 6:30 pm in the Prospect Heights parking area on the Anchorage Hillside. We will do a figure of nine route as follows: 1) up the Wolverine Bowl Trail to the Wolverine/Williwaw Lakes Trail; 2) up the Wolverine/Williwaw Lakes Trail to a bushwack ascent of Wolverine Ridge; 3) along the ridge to the Wolverine Bowl Trail; 4) down the Wolverine Bowl Trail to the parking area.
Be prepared for deep snow.
Rob DeVelice will lead "Flipping the Bird" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:00 pm in the parking lot in front of the Bird Ridge Cafe (on the Seward Highway between Anchorage and Girdwood).
NOTE: 6 pm rendezvous rather than 6:30
We will begin on the new paved trail towards Bird Point, bushwhack up the super steep slope to the antenna below Penguin Peak, and return to the cars via gnarly trails.
Rob DeVelice will lead "A Loop in Kincaid Park" with a duration of 2 hours somewwhere in West Anchorage.
Rendezvous at 6:30 pm at the Jodphur parking area. To get there, take Raspberry Road, turn left on Sand Lake Road, turn right on Kincaid Road, turn left on Jodphur Street (at end of Kincaid Road), take the first right (dirt road) to the Jodphur parking area.
This will be a up tempo run on rolling hills.
