02/09/2023 – Bird Creek 20K
Jesse Gobeli will lead "Bird Creek 20K" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
The route is in and conditions are right for the Bird Creek 20K! Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Bird Creek trailhead at the end of Konikson Rd. We will journey to the ford site and beyond to a suitable turnaround point on this out and back route. Snowshoes will be the order of the day, as we work our way through dark hemlock forest and deep into soft powder along the creek.
01/26/2023 – Lighthouse
Lee Helzer will lead "Lighthouse" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at the Rainbow trailhead for a 6:30 departure. We will reverse Juzgado de la Nieve navigating via a series of lighthouses.
12/29/2022 – Juzgado de la Nieve
Jesse Gobeli will lead "Juzgado de la Nieve" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Rainbow trailhead. We will follow the newly established creek trail through deep snow conditions until we reach the safety of the hemlock forest. From there, we will ascend snow free beneath verdant canopy to an intersection with the upper highway trail. Our descent route will be based on the desires of the participants. Snowshoes are the accessory of choice for this epic.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Falls Creek trailhead. We will ascend the main trail to the valley below South Suicide and return. Snowshoes are recommended.
12/01/2022 – Potter
Jesse Gobeli will lead "Potter" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the weigh station just south of Potter Marsh. We will follow the Turnagain Arm trail for a mile or so before bushwhacking uphill. We will complete a loop route back to the start.
10/27/2022 – McHugh Lakes
Jesse Gobeli will lead "McHugh Lakes" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the McHugh Creek trailhead. We will run out the main trail to a lake at 3,000 feet and return.
10/20/2022 – Bird Creek Jaunt
Lee Helzer will lead "Bird Creek Jaunt" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet for a 6:30 departure from the Bird Valley Trailhead at the end of Konikson Rd. We will head out the Bird Valley trail to a possible river ford then return via nearly the same route.
09/15/2022 – Sheep Thrills

Meet for a 6:30 departure from the Windy Corner trailhead. We will jog along the highway to the Falls Creek trailhead where we will attempt to follow the proposed new standard route up Sheep Thrills Ridge. We will return via locals trail.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Rainbow trailhead. We will be taking the Upper Highway route to the summit ridge directly above the trailhead. Bring a favorite item of pruning equipment, trail repairs will be made along the way.
08/18/2022 – Old Stump Road
Jesse Gobeli will lead "Old Stump Road" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Bird Creek trailhead at the end of Konikson Road. We will take the main trail almost to the bridge, where we will bushwack along the Old Stump Roads before heading directly to the shoulder of Penguin Peak. We will descend by the standard Penguin Peak trail.
