09/19/2013 – Wabbit Season

E. Marquez will lead "Wabbit Season" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:15 (note earlier meeting time) at the point where Upper Dearmoun Rd meets Canyon Rd.  We will carpool as needed to the end of Canyon Rd.  From there we will do a roughly figure nine route toward McHugh peak.

09/12/2013 – Couloirs of Fall

Mike Monterusso will lead "Couloirs of Fall" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 at Glen Alps parking area. We will follow the Powerline Trail until we reach Ptarmigan Pass. We’ll ascend toward the pass, then follow the ridgeline back to the west and descend via Flattop. An alternate return route on the Rabbit Creek side may be explored if one presents itself.

06/20/2013 – West Tanaina

Jesse Gobeli will lead "West Tanaina" with a duration of 6 or more hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 pm at the Prospect Heights trailhead on the Anchorage Hillside. We will take the main trail towards Wolverine Peak, before turning off to tour the No Man’s Land and the saddle between Wolverine and Near Point. This is the optional turnaround point  – those continuing on will descend to the Long Lake valley, before climbing the ridge to West Tanaina Peak. Return will involve a variation of the outward bound trail.

03/28/2013 – Rough on the Edges redux

Jesse Gobeli will lead "Rough on the Edges redux" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 pm at the Basher Trailhead off Campbell Airstrip Road. This will be a
repeat of the route from earlier in the year. We will proceed to the standard trail up
Wolverine, climb to the plateau, and bushwhack down to the Middle Fork trail and
return.

03/07/2013 – Nearer to God

Rob DeVelice will lead "Nearer to God" with a duration of 2 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 pm in the Glen Alps parking area on the Anchorage Hillside. There may be two versions of the route depending on the desires of the participants. One version involves climbing a selection of steep snow slopes using crampons and ice axes (not dog friendly). The other version will avoid the need for ice axes (dog friendly).

This Epic will be in celebration of my nephew, Finn Ward, who recently passed from this life. Finn was an adventurous spirit who lived life to the fullest and loved the great outdoors and sharing it with his friends.

01/24/2013 – Left Flank

Jesse Gobeli will lead "Left Flank" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 pm at the Basher Trailhead off Campbell Airstrip road. We will
proceed to the standard trail up Wolverine, take a side trail skirting No Man’s
Land, before gaining elevation along Wolverine’s little climbed left flank,
developing a Figure 9 route for a return to the start.
