Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Glen Alps trailhead.  We will take the powerline trail to the pass, then proceed to the ridge and to Avalanche Peak.  We will return by the same route.

07/01/2021 – Tikishla!

Jesse Gobeli will lead "Tikishla!" with a duration of 6 or more hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Prospect Heights trailhead.  We will proceed via No Mans Land to a saddle, drop down to the creek, and then ascend Tikishla Peak.   We will return over Near Point.

06/24/2021 – The Hidden Williwaw Ramp Cirque

Lee Helzer will lead "The Hidden Williwaw Ramp Cirque" with a duration of 4 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at the Glen Alps parking lot for a 6:30 departure.  We will head up Nintendo Hill and cross the Ballfield to access the Williwaw Lakes Trail.  After a short time on the trail we will break off and explore a small body of water in the picturesque Hidden Williwaw Ramp Cirque.  We will return via the same path or a slightly longer alternative with less elevation.

06/17/2021 – Quadruple Bypass

E. Marquez will lead "Quadruple Bypass" with a duration of 5.5 hours somewwhere in Eagle River - North.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Mile Hi trailhead in Eagle River.   We will ascend Mt. Magnificent, descend to Meadow Creek, and then ascend Vista, Roundtop and Blacktail Rocks.   This route is an Epic classic.

06/03/2021 – Bird on a Wire

Jesse Gobeli will lead "Bird on a Wire" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Bird Creek trailhead at the end of Konikson Rd.   We will visit the attractions of the Bird Creek Valley, including the Giant Trees, waterfalls, the 1965 Fastback, and more.    Light bushwhacking, creek crossings and swamps are anticipated.

05/27/2021 – Birthday Basher to Wolverine

Heather Helzer will lead "Birthday Basher to Wolverine " with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet for a 6:30 pm departure at the Basher Trailhead on Campbell Airstrip Drive for the Birthday Bash!  We will take trails to the summit of Wolverine Peak where we will feast on birthday cake to celebrate 2 birthdays. We will return via the same route.

05/20/2021 – Hiland Mountain Ridgeline

E. Marquez will lead "Hiland Mountain Ridgeline" with a duration of 4.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the South Fork Eagle River trailhead.   We will head up Hunter Pass, then follow the ridge to Rendezvous Peak, Gordon Lyon, and Hiland Mountain.  We will return by the same route.

05/13/2021 – Unnamed

Jesse Gobeli will lead "Unnamed" with a duration of 4 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Rainbow trailhead.   We will ascend the unnamed trail through birch and hemlock forests and alder thickets to a high spot on the ridge.    The return route will be selected by participants.

05/06/2021 – Ballfield Gully

Anne Ver Hoef will lead "Ballfield Gully" with a duration of 2.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 at the Glen Alps parking lot.  We will head up to the Ballfield and then make a left turn down the gully.  Hopefully, it will still have hard-packed snow; if not we will stay up a little higher on the rocks and tundra.  We will loop back on the Middle Fork trail.  Be prepared for wet feet.  May help to take microspikes and snowshoes, but postholing is way more fun.

04/29/2021 – Snow Thrills

Lee Helzer will lead "Snow Thrills" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.

Meet at Windy Corner for a 6:30 departure.  We will take the Turnagain trail for a short bit then bushwhack or posthole our way up Goat Head Couloir.  We will either return via the west ridge or the way we came.

04/22/2021 – Rays on Rainbow

Lee Helzer will lead "Rays on Rainbow" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.

Meet at 6:30 in the Telephone Pole Rock parking area (on the left after Beluga Point) on the Seward Highway. We will head up to the Turnagain Arm Trail and then diverge onto a ridge heading towards the Black Mesa. From there we will asses snow conditions and either continue up the North Face or the south west ridge of Rainbow Peak (hopefully) enjoying a beautiful sunset along the way.  Ice axe and micro spikes recommended.

From the summit we will take the standard route back to the Turnagain Arm Trail and return to the cars. There are out and back opportunities for those not desiring partaking in the full enchilada.
