06/29/2023 – Ninja Ridge

E. Marquez will lead "Ninja Ridge" with a duration of 4.5 hours somewwhere in The Chugach Front Range.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Rabbit Creek trailhead. We will descend to Eva’s trail, then follow the creek before heading directly uphill to Baldy. We will follow the ridge to McHugh Peak and all the way to Rabbit Lake. We will return on the main trail.

06/22/2023 – Proof of Concept

Jesse Gobeli will lead "Proof of Concept" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in Peters Creek.

Meet at 6:15 p.m. at the Thunderbird Falls Trailhead. We will carpool for a 6:30 start at the Peters Creek trailhead. The route is traverse the spine of Bear Mountain, bushwhacking to Thunderbird Falls.

06/15/2023 – Unnamed Ridge

Lee Helzer will lead "Unnamed Ridge" with a duration of 6 or more hours somewwhere in Eklutna.

Note Earlier Time

Meet at the Thunderbird Falls Trailhead for a 6:10pm departure.  We will carpool to the Eklutna Lake trailhead for the start.  We will make a brief detour to the Doly Varden public use cabin before we ascend the well established rouge trail on the south side of the dam up to the unnamed ridge.  We will follow the ridge west, ticking off 3, 300′ prominent highpoints (Peak 855, Peak 820, and Peak 594) before descending to Thunderbird Falls.

05/25/2023 – Bird Flew

Jesse Gobeli will lead "Bird Flew" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Bird Creek lower parking lot (megalot). We will proceed along Bird Creek, and then proceed up the classic Bird Flew Route, and return via the main trail.

05/04/2023 – Still nobody cares

E. Marquez will lead "Still nobody cares" with a duration of 3 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Rainbow trailhead. We will take the alternate trail to the ridge, a repeat of the 2/23/23 route. Return will be at the desires of the participants.

04/27/2023 – Ladders and Chutes

Lee Helzer will lead "Ladders and Chutes" with a duration of 3.5 hours somewwhere in Turnagain Arm.

Meet at the lower McHugh Creek Day Use parking lot for a 6:30 departure.  We will head up the McHugh Lake trail to a hopefully mostly snow free ridge and return via a snow Chute.  Ice axe recommended for optimal glissading.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Windy Corner trailhead. We will explore a newly identified potential route linkup to the lower Sheep thrills ridge. Leather gloves are advised as there may be a rosebush or two. Choice of return route will be determined by participants.
