"Nature will bear the closest inspection. She invites us to lay our eye level with her smallest leaf, and take an insect view of its plain." ~Henry David Thoreau
Mike Monterusso will lead "McNasty Blast" with an estimated duration of 3 hours.
Meet at 6:30 at the lower level of the McHugh Trail Head parking lot. We’ll take the McHugh trail back about 3 miles and look to gain access to the McHugh ridge line. From there we’ll follow the ridge line back to the west, descend the “usual” scree field, and return via the main trail.

The full loop took approx 3.5 hours. Beautiful day/evening… couldn’t have been any better. Going down that scree field is one of my favorite things to do!

The Chugach Front Range
This looks like a great route! I’d like to join in on the fun again. It’s been a couple of years, but getting closer to having a schedule that allows for fun at night….
I’ll see what’s happening on the home front
Thanks for these!
