E. Marquez will lead "Smooth on the Edges" with an estimated duration of 3 hours.

We will meet at 6:30 at the Prospect Heights trailhead.  We will take the main trail towards Wolverine, but then divert onto game trails for a run up towards Rusty Point.   We will circle back to the Wolverine trail to complete a Figure 9 route.

Jesse, Eliseo, and Lee left the parking lot with the car’s temperature reading -10F.  As we worked up the hill toward Rusty Point we were greeted with a pleasant inversion that increased the temp to +11F.  On our descent the temp slowly decreased then rapidly after we passed the rock on the Wolverine trail.  The ambient temp hit a low of -16.9F down by Lost Cabin by the river which is the lowest recorded temp on an Epic in recent memory.
